ALEX YEWON
Alex Yewon is a composer, music producer, and singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles, CA. She has worked in diverse music teams in Hollywood, contributing to many TV scores including Fargo (FX), Ripley (Netflix), For All Mankind (Apple TV), and Star Trek: Discovery (Paramount).
Born and raised in South Korea, Alex started her music career as a guitarist in Seoul, playing in rock bands. She moved to Boston, MA in 2016, and studied Film Scoring and Contemporary Writing&Production at Berklee College of Music as a scholarship recipient.
Working alongside composer Jeff Russo since 2021, Alex has written music for Mrs. Davis (Peacock), Bosch: Legacy (Amazon Prime), The Man Who Fell To Earth (Showtime), and film Rob Peace, as well as arranged music for Ripley (Netflix) and For All Mankind (Apple TV).
Her other projects include orchestrating music for award-winning VR game Rhythm of the Universe: Ionia, writing
theme music for podcast Hype Women, and scoring the short film Ambu-Bagging - the grand prize winner at University Film Festival of Korea 2017.
As a singer-songwriter, Alex released the music video Angel under her stage name Nowey, which won the Best Music Video Award at New York Long Island Film Festival in 2021.
